Survival weekend with overnight stay (42 h)
ÖSTERUNDA PADDEBO 1, 749 72 Fjärdhundra
This course is mainly aimed at those who have taken our basic course in bushcraft and outdoor technology, or those who have some experience of outdoor activities in the past. The aim of the course is to provide participants with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in the field under safe conditions by being placed in a staged survival situation. The course begins with an introductory lecture and presentation of some basic techniques. We go through important safety aspects and get to know each other.
During the course weekend, we will run four workshops where we will teach selected techniques that participants can benefit from during their stay. The content of the course will be adapted based on the participants' combined previous experience and knowledge. On the first night, the focus is on quickly and impromptu bringing about a simple shelter and a fire. Focus is placed on the main success factors for surviving out in the forest landscape: Staying warm, dry and being able to search for food during the season and in the environment that the course is given.
